where dishes are prepared and composed with fresh ingredients and/or products that have been pre-processed and portioned by suppliers (halta products). The chef usually works alone, with the support of one or two (part-time) assistants. The independent chef I is responsible for the daily running and progress in the company’s kitchen.
To this end, he/she is responsible for the (technical) supervision and preparation of dishes and the operational preconditions in this regard (inventory management and call-off from mainly regular suppliers). The independent chef provides input on the composition and adjustment of the menus, menu card and working method. The job holder has a professional supervisor. Result profile
MBO 3 work and thinking level;
Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques; Knowledge of products/ingredients and (the composition of) the menu
Do you have a passion for the catering industry and do you know the kitchen? Who knows, you may soon be able to start working with us. We are looking for an independent chef (m/f) for a full-time position in our cozy and well-run restaurant in Eindhoven.
What will you do?
As an independent chef, you are an indispensable link in our kitchen team. You prepare the dishes that spoil our guests with care and attention, from start to finish. Your responsibilities include:
Mise-en-place: You ensure that all ingredients are properly prepared before the start of lunch, so that the dishes are ready efficiently and on time.
Preparing dishes: You cook with passion and precision, taking into account the taste, presentation and the wishes of our guests.
Collaboration: As part of a close-knit team, you work together with your colleagues in the kitchen to maintain high quality and efficiency, even during busy periods.
Quality control: You strictly monitor hygiene and safety standards and ensure a clean and organized working environment.
Creative thinking: You think along about the development of new dishes and menu items and actively think about improving our range. You possess the following:
– You prefer to work in a team, but are also independent in your work.
– You don’t mind if we ask some flexibility from you.
– You don’t mind being busy, you just like to get things done!
– Do you have experience in a similar position or have you completed a relevant education?
That is of course a bonus!

Job requirements:
– You are trained as a chef (passion for the profession is more important than a diploma);
– Your knowledge of hygiene regulations is up-to-date;
– You are creative, flexible and stress-resistant
– And of course you are a team player.
